the following pages, you can see several of the dolls I have "redressed"
using my own designs. I have been sewing since the age of 12, but it wasn't
until a few years ago that I decided to try my hand at making doll fashions.
I design and sew each costume as though it were for a real person. From
the underclothing to the dresses and hats, as much detail as possible
is put into each outfit.
Each Lady is dressed from the body out, with all the appropriate attire. No elastic is used that could deteriorate, and all seams are finished with a serger so that they will not ravel. Most of the beading is done by hand using individual faux pearls, and each costume is trimmed with hundreds of them. These doll fashions are made to last a lifetime and to become a treasured family heirloom. I
